Dutchman Campground, Black Hills National Forest, South Dakota

July 13, 2004

The first thing we did in the morning was that David fixed the water tank. David had removed it from the cabinet the night before, now he superglued the crack closed and then covered it with silicone sealant. After that we drove into the closest town called Hill City and bought me a pair of sandals. My old ones had finally broken beyond repair after a summer in Estonia, going through Spain on our honeymoon and two summers in the States.

When we got back to the campground I sat down to write about this trip and David started checking the brakes. They had been squealing lately and he thought that they might need some repair. Luckily it turned out that the brakes on the front wheels were fine. The back wheels have a different type of brakes called drum brakes. It turned out that David did not have tools to really get to them so he left it at that. It was decided that we´d have to take the bus to a shop some time soon.

After that we ate and went to sleep. As you can see we had pasta :)
