After our usual morning
shenanigans I went to start the bus, but the engine wouldn't turn over.
It was as if the poor bus was saying "thats it! no more!" We had a dead
starter. With the help of a good samaritan we managed to push start the
bus, but we didn't dare turn it off to wait for the other bus owners to
wake up so we didn't get to talk to them.
Above Anu flies her new kite she got in Spokane. Below is the second
vehicle we passed while we only had three cylinders - a truck with a
load of apples going up a pass.

We stopped at a fruit stand so
Anu could get some fresh fruit, but I had to stay in the bus with it
running since there was no hill to get us started again. The bus is
really heavy and hard to push.

We got closer and closer to
Seattle. This was all very familiar now as we had been here many times.
Since we left our apartment in Seattle our actual destination was my
parents house in Olympia. We took back roads to get there rather than
going through Seattle and its rather crazy freeways.

Here we crest the final pass
between us and our destination. On the other side we had to get gas. I
was concerned that the bus would not start but when I pulled into the
gas station there was a group of bikers there so I knew we could get
help if we needed it. The first time I tried to start the bus nothing
happened, but the second try it turned over and started. That tank of
gas was enough to get us to Olympia, where we parked our bus next to my
parents house. We continued to sleep in the bus until we could find an
apartment to live in, with a garage to give the bus some tender loving
care.
