We left the rather dirty city
park and got back on the interstate. After a couple hours we ended up
back in Bozeman, once again crossing our tracks. We spent a wonderful
couple of hours at the co-op there, enjoying their new free wireless
internet and wonderful food. We also crossed over the first of many
passes in the rockies, Bozeman pass which is at 5,760ft. We made it
without trouble, although we did it in second gear.

From here on it was very
mountainous. This was our biggest fear in driving our poor broken bus
back - the rockies.

It turned out to be no trouble.
The bus was able to take any hill in second gear, which gave us about
20 - 25 mph. This was not too dangerous on the passes as many of the
trucks were going about the same speed. Here we cross the Continental
Divide.

<-- A momentous occasion. We
pass a car!

We actually found a campground
before dark for once, and a nice one at that. We cooked a nice dinner
and investigated the teepees they had there.

Later I called my mom and got
her to dig out the PIN for my visa card. I had to stand in the most
ridiculous spot in the middle of the road to get reception. This
enabled us to get money on credit, unfortunately with a hefty finance
charge for cash advances. Just the same there are some times when only
cash will do. I have to add here that this is the only time I've ever heard
of anybody actually using their credit card that was for emergencies
only for an actual emergency (getting home).
