Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming --> Firehole Canyon Campground National Recreation Area, Wyoming

July 06, 2004

In Grand Teton we started first really working on this website.

We saw some nice yellow-breasted birds there, They turned out to be Yellow-headed blackbirds.

This is the Tetonic Mountain Range.

We stopped in Jackson where we ate in a small natural foods co-op where the food was the best we had this far eating out.

We drove off down the roads of Wyoming.

This was the first area we wanted to camp at but it turned out that it was an area where they allow hunting so we decided to find another spot.

Finally we stopped and had some dinner - sandwiches and wine.

We wanted to camp near Rock Springs in a KOA but it was right next to the freeway and also next to a gas depository. We turned around and drove another twenty something miles to a Firehole Canyon Recreation Area. It was amazingly clear night and we could see thousands of stars. The Milky Way was really clear.
